Elected Dean of the Faculty of Health on December 12, 2023, I would like to thank the members of the new Faculty Council for renewing their confidence in me. My vision for the coming years is one of consensus, collegiality and respect for the balance within our community. You will find in my program the key elements of the project I wish to carry forward for the next term of office with a partially renewed dean's team. The transition of the Faculty of Medicine to a Faculty of Health is reflected in the creation of the posts of vice-dean responsible for training in midwifery and paramedical training, as well as the creation of corresponding teaching departments, following the example of the Department of Medical Studies. The composition of the Faculty Council has also been modified to include maieutic and paramedical representatives in colleges A and B, as had already been done for students.
The Dean's role has grown considerably in recent years as the scope of our faculty has expanded. In particular, the creation of Sorbonne Université and the fact that research is now managed at faculty level have led to an expansion of the Dean's missions. The number of students at our Faculty of Health has grown significantly, and this process is far from over. Despite severe constraints in terms of premises, our research is benefiting from a major qualitative leap forward, while respecting ethical and deontological imperatives and scientific integrity - directions that we are going to pursue.
My background in hospitals and universities, and the experience I have acquired as Dean, have led me to propose a project that I hope will be ambitious and consensual for our new Faculty of Health, of which I am particularly proud, and which should enable us to meet the major challenges of our teaching, research and care missions. I know I can count on the support of a formidable team of academic and administrative staff, as well as a highly motivated dean's office team. Thank you all for your past actions and your future commitment.
