MSU PASS
The Joint Service Unit (MSU) for Data Production and Analysis in Life Sciences and Health (PASS) supports researchers in academic laboratories and companies in their projects in sample management, genomics, proteomics and cytometry.
Find out more about the 4 UMS PASS platforms below: P3S, CyPS, CRB AP-HP. Sorbonne University site Saint-Antoine and CINBIOS.
This joint service unit has two supervisory bodies: Sorbonne University and INSERM.
P3S
P3S has a wide range of equipment, forming a coherent whole around genomics and proteomics. The mission of the P3S platform is to provide its users with cutting-edge technology and skilled staff with expertise in the fields concerned.

Operational manager: Solenne CHARDONNET
Scientific manager: Gisèle BONNE.
Genomics
The platform offers genotyping and methylation analysis services based on Illumina's BeadArray technology, enabling large-scale analysis of variations in the human genome.
Proteomics
Based on mass spectrometry, the proteomics activity of the P3S platform offers qualitative and quantitative analyses of your protein samples.
Shared services
The platform offers academic and private laboratories free access to a range of shared equipment.
CYPS
The CyPS platform is a high-tech cytometry platform located on the Pitié-Salpêtrière site. Fundamental and clinical research is particularly dynamic here, and is carried out in partnership with universities, INSERM and the CNRS.
Sorbonne University's Cytometry Platform CyPS has been a pioneer in the development of research projects using mass cytometry. CyPS enables you to acquire your samples on high-performance cytometers.

In mass cytometry, the Helios (CyTOF technology) enables you to analyse more than 50 parameters simultaneously, and in flow cytometry the FacsARIA II SORP sorter enables simultaneous analysis of 18 fluorescences and selection of live cells infected by class 2 and 3 pathogens (sorter placed in a containment chamber).
In the first half of 2020, CyPS will move on to image-based mass cytometry: the Hyperion. The principle is based on labelling tissue sections with antibodies coupled to heavy metal isotopes and detecting them using a mass spectrometer. Tissue analysis of 37 parameters simultaneously provides a depth of measurement unprecedented in the history of biology and medicine.
The data produced on CyPS can be re-analysed using a wide range of software available on the facility.
Customised training courses in cytometry (flow or mass) and complex data analysis are available. Please do not hesitate to contact us with your requirements.
CyPS engineers will support your research projects on a daily basis.
CRB AP-HP. Sorbonne University site Saint-Antoine
reated in 2010 as part of the Paris Est Clinical Research Platform, the Saint-Antoine APHP.Sorbonne Université CRB is a cross-disciplinary structure (URC Est - CRC - CRB) available to all researchers and clinicians taking part in clinical research protocols involving the creation of biological collections.

As part of the GHU APHP.Sorbonne Université Clinical Research Platform, the CRB AP-HP. Sorbonne université site Saint-Antoine is involved in setting up studies at a very early stage and in managing biological resources, in order to optimise the organisation of collection and distribution.
Its aim is to receive, prepare, store and make available biological collections from clinical research protocols.
CINBIOS
CINBIOS provides expertise in the planning, processing and use of bioinformatics and biostatistics analyses within the Sorbonne University Faculty of health Sciences
The team offers a service through collaboration and participation in scientific projects. We can also train and support users in setting up their projects.
