Clinical Research Groups
The core theme of the IMAGES clinical research group is image-assisted medicine. The term "image" is taken in a broad sense, encompassing ultrasound imaging, radiographic imaging based on ionizing radiation, magnetic resonance imaging and other imaging modalities.
The GRC brings together a number of highly synergistic specialties involved in the care of women, foetuses and children, using images for both routine and research purposes.
The GRC's work is divided into two areas:
- Axis 1 aims to improve image processing, through the development of artificial intelligence and new technologies for screening, diagnosis and interventional imaging.
- Axis 2 aims to reduce radiation exposure through the development of low- or non-irradiation imaging modalities.
