DFGSM2

« Medical English » course online on Moodle from October 2022 to March 2024, followed by an exam in April 2024. Each sequence includes work on the vocabulary of a medical specialty, oral comprehension based on a video, written comprehension based on a short article, and a grammar point.

DFGSM3

« English for ACL » course online on Moodle from November 2023 (medical journals, conflicts of interest and funding in clinical research, the pharmaceutical industry, research terminology, etc.).

DFASM1

A 20-hour UE in April 2024 to give weaker students a reminder of pharmaceutical terminology, symptomatology and clinical research, as well as recurring grammatical points in scientific articles.

DFASM3

Workshop « Preparing for the LCA test in English » (2h30), designed to give medical students the tools they need to pass their critical reading test on an article in English at the iECN. 4 dates to choose from, from October 2023 to February 2024.

DFASM1-3

3-hour « Introduction to consulting in English » workshop. 3 dates to choose from in October 2023.


IPA « Emergency »

A 30h UE from October 2023 to January 2024 (essential terminology relating to emergency situations, signs and symptoms, equipment, gestures and examinations and check-ups; patient management; and reading a scientific article).

IPA 1

Two 3-hour « Introduction to reading a scientific article in English » workshops in January and April 2024.

UE « English for neuroscience »

A 30h UE in April 2024 (essential terminology relating to neurological diseases; reading scientific articles; and poster presentation).

Midwifes 4 (SMA4)

Three 2-hour workshops from March 2024 to May 2024 on caring for pregnant women (questioning, pregnancy-related complications, gynecological examination, childbirth), post-natal care for mother and child (complications following childbirth, postnatal care of the newborn, breastfeeding and feeding the newborn, developmental disorders), and women's health promotion (contraception, STDs, gynecological cancer screening).

General medicine interns

Ten 2-hour workshops on English consultation (pain patients, diabetic patients, pregnant patients, psychiatric patients, cardiac patients, respiratory patients, digestive patients, cancer patients, urology patients, elderly patients and young patients) from November 2023 to October 2024.
